In the Crossfire: Landlord vs Tenant Costs
In gated communities, lifecycle replacement cost obligations; related to long term asset replacement are the landlord’s responsibility which they try to avoid or pass off onto their tenants/residents. Today’s tenant is more aware than ever of their obligations and will always resist such attempts.
However, if there is ever service failure due to a failed asset replacement policy, the facility manager is held responsible.
This presentation highlights the dynamic between all stakeholders, their core obligations and early stage measures that every FM needs to ensure is in place at product development stage to avoid these conflicts.
