Todd McGhee

Mr. Todd McGhee is an international speaker on counter-terrorism and violent extremism. Todd is the author and course developer of the Behavior Observation Skills (BOS) Course and the Airport Physical Screening (APS)
Course written for the Department of State, Office of Antiterrorism Assistance. Both courses are currently being delivered around the world to US Partner Nations to help combat against global terrorism and to build
international relationships. Over the last five years, Todd has personally delivered these courses on four different continents in ten different countries, some countries on multiple occasions.
He started his law enforcement career in 1987 and is retired from the Massachusetts Department of State Police after serving twenty-four successful years in public safety. He was assigned to the Massachusetts State Police Troop F Headquarters at Logan International Airports Massport Authority as a specially trained officer and lead trainer of their Anti-Terrorism Unit.
He has authored the P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Training System® and the Security Awareness and Vigilance for EveryoneTM (S.A.V.E.TM) course curriculums which are Department of Homeland Security approved training courses. Todd has authored, developed and successfully delivered the Active Shooter Awareness course around the US which is designed to prepare civilians and private security professionals for the unthinkable.
As part of his international consulting, Todd is a member of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), where he is a board member of the Global Security Committee providing security best practices for the Attractions and Theme Park industry, in which his company directs and operates IAAPA’s Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), that provides real-time mass notification alerts for natural and man-made disasters to IAAPA’s global membership. Todd developed the GSOC from a white paper concept to its current operational state.
Todd has made several appearances on WHDH Ch 7 News, ABC News, NECN News, NBC Boston and Fox 25 News as a subject matter expert and contributor providing commentary and analysis on international and domestic terrorist related case studies, active shooter, school safety, cyber-crime, and police use of force issues. He has been featured in Time Magazine as a member of Logan Airport Homeland Security detail where he has served as one the lead trainers of the State Police Anti-Terrorism Unit. In acknowledgement of his pioneering work, he has also been featured on ABC Nightline in a segment titled “Deceit Detectives,” which demonstrated Logan Airport as the safest airport in the United States.
As a highly dedicated and ambitious professional, he thrives on imparting his knowledge and expertise as a trainer/instructor and is committed to helping lessen the dangers of potentially hazardous and life-threatening
situations. To that end, he works closely with governmental agencies at the local, county, state and federal levels of jurisdiction. Mr. McGhee’s Massachusetts training firm is based in Stoughton, MA and is registered on the GSA Schedule, positioning his firm as a prime contractor for government contracting opportunities.
Mr. McGhee earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University and a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Anna Maria College in Massachusetts. As a sought after professional, his experience in planning, implementing, training and executing highly effective tactical training programs has made him an invaluable pacesetter with a remarkable talent for achieving extraordinary results.
